The Panjtan Society of Victoria (PSV) is a registered non-profit organization of the Ithna Asheri Shia Muslim community of Melbourne, Australia (Melbourne Shia Community, Shia in Melbourne, Shia in Australia).
It is serving the religious and educational needs of more than 1,000 members of the Urdu-speaking community from India, Pakistan, East Africa, Singapore and Afghanistan. The society was formed in 1989 on a very small scale, consisting of just a few members. Over time, as the Ithna-Asheri Shias began to migrate to this part of the world, the society grew dramatically in terms of membership and activities.
